As an exercise of understanding coworking spaces prior to tackling their first semester project, Year 2 (2019-2020) students visit Nasab, Dubai’s first exclusive coworking and social club located in KOA Canvas.

The students were given a tour of the many facilities Nasab has to offer, including open and closed workspaces, wellness and social spaces, serving as an exemplary case study of the changing landscape of “work” spaces to more flexible, human led spaces that can further nurture creativity and initiative. To truly immerse themselves in the experience, the students created initial design concept sketches and chain modelling within the club. These were then used to build up on making creative, human-led final semester projects.
