D6 Architecture hosted a talk by practicing architect; Omran Alowais, founder of Ardh Architects, Ard Architects is a studio based in Dubai and Paris that specializes in developing native urban spaces and architecture unique to the Middle Eastern culture and climate.With a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning, Omran has been creating and exploring new building typologies since 2003. His work emphasizes the importance of indigenous architecture that responds to the cultural and climatic conditions of the region. When he’s not working, Omran indulges in his passion for photography and drone flying, as well as his love for motorsports and the adrenaline and competition it brings.’ The lecture is entitled ‘Hospitality, Education, and Culture in Native Architecture: Three Case Studies’.
